If you are a flower lover, we have found an app for you that is definitely worth the storage space. "Garden Answers Plant Identifier" is available free for iOS and Android enabled phones and gives you the knowledge of a florist in the palm of your hand (almost!). Since we love all things flowers, we wanted to check out this App and after using it a bit ourselves, we think you will love it.
We often hear descriptions of flowers from our amazing
customers that are difficult to identify, so we know many of you would
enjoy having this at your fingertips. Next time you see a gorgeous bloom
at a wedding, dinner party or in the arrangements at church, snap a
picture of each individual flower with your Garden Answers app and they
will help you identify it! Simple.
In our experiments, we started with basic blooms; a Gerber daisy, roses, sunflowers and irises, all of which were identified correctly by our app. To challenge our digital florist, next we tried chrysanthemum, peonies, dahlias and lilies, all of which were correctly matched! We did however find one that Garden Answers could not identify. Can you?
In addition to the photo identification, Garden Answers has a databank of images that you can search, using the scientific or common name of the flower. The result is a list of images and data about that species, all of which is community created. You can add your favorites too!
