An Easter/Passover celebration is one of my favorites of the year. Early spring boasts new bursts of life from bulbs that have overwintered and are just now showing color ushering in a new season!
Blooming branches also abound as they begin their march from South to North. Forsythia, often the first of the spring branches to show color, will do so with a striking yellow bloom, followed shortly thereafter by Redbud, Cherry, Pear and Quince with the stately Dogwood, pulling up the rear.
For the home, I am most drawn to an Easter/Passover tablescape featuring signature spring blooms en masse; Tulips, Hyacinth, Daffodils and Peony. Vintage glass jars, pitchers and bowls work perfectly to marry a seasonal floral display and a family holiday.
For nostalgia, never overlook those heirloom beauties such as crocheted bunnies, Easter baskets and colored eggs. Place them throughout your home so every room has a hint of the holiday!
