Since officially joining the Narcissus Florals team in February 2020, Ty has been behind-the-scenes helping to keep everything running smoothly while also stepping into the spotlight as a talented floral designer. From payroll and billing to managing event logistics and website updates, Ty balances a dual role that merges precision with creativity.
But don’t let the operations title fool you—Ty’s design work is as thoughtful and artistic as his coordination. “When I’m designing, I’m always trying to see the arrangement through the client’s eyes,” he says. “Every flower should have its moment.” His keen eye ensures that every bloom is placed with intention and impact. Ty is especially drawn to lush greenery and the rich textures of fall. “I’m a big Autumn/Fall seasonal guy. There’s so much depth and diversity to play with.” That said, summer offers plenty of inspiration too. He’s currently loving tropical blooms and exotic color palettes that bring global vibrancy into local events.
One of his most unforgettable projects? Designing a wedding at the top of Mount Vernon in Vernon, NJ—after riding a ski lift with buckets of florals in tow! “It was a challenge,” Ty laughs, “but the view and final design were absolutely breathtaking.”
With a background in culinary arts, Ty brings a unique perspective to floral design. “Narcissus allows me to express my creativity in unexpected ways. I’ve been able to translate my culinary precision and artistry into floral arrangements that are truly one of a kind.”
